Joan Laporta Meets with Members in Sant Cugat del Vallès

The precandidate takes part in an event moderated by former tennis player Alex Corretja at La Unió

Joan Laporta met this afternoon with more than 150 members in Sant Cugat del Vallès, at the Sala Clavé of Espai La Unió, after visiting various stalls in Pavilions A and B at Mercabarna in Barcelona earlier this morning.

The Sant Cugat event, moderated by former tennis player Alex Corretja, gave Laporta the opportunity to present the project “Defensem el Barça,” the pre-candidacy he leads, which is presented as a proposal of continuity, stability, and ambition aimed at consolidating a strong, sustainable, competitive Barça that remains true to its core values. The project seeks to continue guaranteeing economic, social, and sporting stability and growth, while “guaranteeing and safeguarding” the Club’s ownership model.

During the event, Laporta also explained the reasoning behind this year’s slogan, “Defensem el  Barça,” and its evolution compared to “Estimem el Barça,” the slogan of the 2021 campaign. He highlighted “the courage” of his Board in building a new Stadium and pointed to his “tireless work” to collectively reverse the Club’s “critical” situation in 2021.
