The candidate for the presidency of FC Barcelona took part this Saturday in an event with members and supporters at the Casino del Centre de L’Hospitalet, where he advocated for a club model based on feelings and institutional responsibility.
At the beginning of the meeting, the candidate paid special tribute to former board member Jacint Borràs, highlighting his commitment to the Club and his career within the institution.
During his speech, the candidate argued that Barça cannot be managed solely from a technocratic perspective and delivered a direct message in an electoral context. “Barça is not run from a computer, but from the head and the heart,” he stated.
The candidate insisted on the need to consolidate the club’s economic recovery and assured that the project he defends aims to guarantee financial stability without losing the essence and historical values. In this regard, he maintained that the club’s economic situation has improved in recent years and that Barça has once again positioned itself among football’s highest-revenue institutions, with a significant reduction in debt in recent financial years.
Finally, he sought to convey a message of optimism about the current moment of the institution.“The future is now,” he said, arguing that the Club has the opportunity to embark on a new stage with ambition if the members renew their trust in him onMarch 15.
