The creation of this tile was conceived by the Veterans de Sitges Foundation, and it was presented by Alejandro Sacrist\u00e1n, son of former footballer Eusebio Sacrist\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inaugurated in 2019, the Avenue was conceived as a tribute to footballers who have been linked to Sitges and is an initiative promoted by the Veterans de Sitges Foundation and the City Council, with Cruyff\u2019s being the first plaque installed. Other tiles in the area include those of Eusebio Sacrist\u00e1n himself, Juan Carlos Unzu\u00e9 and Rafa Mara\u00f1\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his speech, Joan Laporta stated that the Club is \u201cobjectively and indisputably better\u201d than it was five years ago, thanks to management that saved the institution from a critical financial situation, restored its institutional credibility, and returned it to the forefront. In this regard, he emphasized that good management \u201cis not the result of chance,\u201d but of constant work, courageous decisions, and the commitment of a board and executive team that has placed the crest above any other interest.
